Work Glove Selection by Industry.
Six industries, six different failure modes. Start from what the glove has to survive, then choose the coating and the cut level that survive it.
For PPE importers, distributors and private label brands buying coated gloves by industry.
How to read these pages
01 – 04
Task
What the glove touches, and how often
Abrasion, edge, oil, water, heat
Structure
Liner, coating and coverage together
Cut comes from the liner, grip from the coating
Evidence
The test report for that exact model
Not the family, not a similar glove
Order
Size mix, marks, packing and documents
Where most first orders lose time
Choose the industry
Each page carries the conditions, the specification starting points and the gloves that match.

Six industries side by side
The same glove rarely wins twice. This is the comparison a buyer makes before requesting samples.
| Industry | Coating | Cut target | Grip condition |
|---|---|---|---|
| Construction | Crinkle latex, foam latex | EN 388 2X42 up to 4X43 | Dry and damp, rough surfaces |
| Automotive | Foam and sandy nitrile | A2–A3, A4–A5 in press shop | Oily and wet components |
| Warehousing & logistics | PU and foam nitrile | A1–A2, A3 where banding appears | Dry cartons, stretch film |
| Glass handling | Sandy nitrile, PU for clean glass | D–F (A4–A6), ISO 13997 | Dry glass, film and coated surfaces |
| Metal fabrication | Sandy and foam nitrile | E–F (A5–A7), ISO 13997 | Oily sheet, dry sheet |

Cut targets are written in the two scales that appear on glove markings: EN 388 digits and the ISO 13997 letter. What each scale measures.
Why start here
The industry narrows the list. The task decides it.
Two construction crews can need different gloves: a groundworker loading block wants abrasion and dry grip, a steel fixer wants cut level and a palm that survives rebar.
Use these pages to get within one or two candidates, then send the task and the reference glove. The sample settles the rest.
What we need from you
A brief, not a purchase order.
- The task and the material being handled
- Cut level, or the glove being replaced
- Wet, oily or dry conditions
- Quantity, size range and destination
- Marking and packing requirements
Send the brief and we will come back with two or three constructions rather than a catalogue.
Not sure which page fits?
Send the application and the destination market. We will point to the right construction, or tell you that the task needs a different glove class.
We reply within one working day. Sample requests are quoted with the courier cost shown separately.
